Apple Store (Singapore) Customer Stupid Service,
I’m writing to complain about your service. You are taking too long to process a simple order, an iMac.
I’m an officer at Univesiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and eligible to purchase through Apple Store for Education. About three months ago I made a call to your Sales Department to get a quotation as to complete my application for fund from UKM. A sales representative, Yoli, emailed me the quotation just fine as well as her direct line.
After receiving the cash fund from UKM, I tried to call Yoli again to place an order. Unfortunately, Yoli was not around so they transferred me to another sales representative, Alex. I placed an order with him, a default 27-inch iMac, and he emailed me all the payment information I needed to make the fund transfer. Alex did inform me that the payment may take up to two weeks to be processed. So on July 16th, I transferred RM5000.00 from a CIMB account (121*********** – AMAR BIN BAHARUDIN) to an RHB account (21441940059378 – GLOBAL COLLECT BV) and second transaction RM599.00 on July 19th. I managed to include the Payment Reference Number: 436000008949 in both transactions.
Later I informed Alex about the transaction via email twice but no reply ever since. I tried to call Yoli to help me upon this matter and left a voicemail, but she only replied my email saying that she couldn’t check my order status from her system in the sales department and asked me to contact customer service. That’s what I’d been trying to do, I’d been put on hold for more than 15 minutes each time, but always failed to get through to talk to one of the representatives.
The other day, my friend got to speak to one of the staffs and asked him to call me immediately. When I received the call, he asked me to email all the transaction details to store_payment@asia.apple.com and call 1-800-80-6447, claimed to be the direct line to the Payment Department. I did exactly as told. It was August 5th. No reply of any kind to date.
I had to write a letter to UKM Bursar to extend the period for purchase declaration. I’m sick and tired of waiting, being put on hold, being transferred from one personnel/department to another, I’m sick of Apple product. Just like my broken iPod.
I’m making a police report and filing a lawsuit against Apple Singapore. And I don’t fucking care anymore about your upgraded iMac, cute new look iPod nano or the tempting new iPhone 4, you can shove ‘em up your ass. I just want my money back.
